A commercially operated collection of
rides, games and other entertainment attractions was established on 4 July
1976, around the Mid-South Fairgrounds. It was named libertyland. Prior to its establishment, the demonstration and
exhibition to prospective customers had taken place on the space; the space
included a watch movies (voir film),
the Coaster Pippin, which was renamed as Zippin Pippin, following the start of
business in the amusement park, and what is known as the Grand Carousel. This
was based on a decision by Memphis to start an amusement park in the urban
landscape of the United States. Before then, rides that had existed in that
place were merged with innovations in several pristine collections of rides,
including the libertyvf.
