The progression of crossdraw holsters with guns

Many weapons exist and have existed throughout time. For many reasons like war, law enforcement, personal protection and wildlife hunting, many weapons have been developed with many materials through many methods and means. Based on what was available at every time throughout history, a diverse set of weapons have been made that proved to be relatively effective for the required purpose. From the times when sharp objects like knives and steaks have been made to now, when we have guns and nukes of every type, mankind has made a significant amount of progress in that aspect. One of the most ubiquitous of these weapons is the gun. Guns have been made for longer than most weapons that exist now, they were first made in long shapes filled with powder, then the smaller ones in cowboy holsters were made.

Guns, at the initial stage of discovery was a simply fascinating invention as it provided a more potent, quick and efficient avenue to implement all the activities for which it was created. People moved from needing to come close to others to stab them in war to being able to shoot from a distance. Hunters could now easily prey on their targets without getting close enough to tip them off. It was a welcome development for all involved and another achievement for mankind. But with every piece of invention comes a disadvantage. As things unfolded, people began to realize that guns were too long and too heavy and it therefore necessitated the need for shorter, lighter ones with crossdraw holsters that could be carried around conveniently, and it came forth in no time.
