Why companies offering toxic surf wax for sale should be penalized

Man impact on his environment is tremendous. Man has learnt to harness the power of nature for his benefit. He has learnt to use raw materials and mineral resources such as coal, uranium to produce electricity. From hydroelectric power from rivers to sporting activities such as surfing, man has learnt to ride on nature’s wings. Recent events such as the all-time high temperature in the northern hemisphere, wildfires in Australia and flooding in Africa has highlighted the need for a check on man’s activities. There is need for a global constructive effort to tackle the issue of environmental pollution, carbon emissions etc. The efforts to tackle these challenges should be made in small actions like using environmentally friendly chemicals such as biodegradable surf wax in surfing to employing renewable energy on a large scale globally

Environmental degradation is a problem that currently rocks the world. It is the destruction or deterioration of the earth’s natural system. A notable occurrence in the past was the observed depletion of the earth’s ozone layer. This led to a global summit and worldwide collaboration on the banning of substances called chlorofocarbons. These chemicals were found to be destructive to the ozone layer. These kinds of efforts are needed to be taken globally to tackle these issues. The Paris accord is a step in the right direction but more need to be done in reducing carbon emission, plastic waste and toxic chemicals in oceans etc.Regulations that clamp down on toxic wastes should be widely approved.
