Why are hip circles used?

Resistance bands for legs are used by mainly athletes and weightlifters on a heavy leg day, mainly because of the following reasons:
·         In order to loosen up and for a good warm up.
·         It helps in avoiding injuries while moving heavy weights during a deadlift.
·         The hip band helps in opening up the abductors and the external rotators.
·         These bands help in burning out the hip flexors.
·         They strengthen and also correct hip imbalance.
